I am Kaleb Ward. I shoot events, live music, sports and portraits around Charlotte, and I shoot them while they are still happening. You should not have to scroll a gallery twice to find one you like.
I shoot what is actually happening.
Most of what I shoot does not stop and pose for me. A trumpet solo lasts eight seconds. A fast break does not run twice. So I stopped waiting for moments to line up and learned to already be standing where the good one is going to land.
That is what K&K is built on. I work fast and I stay out of the way, because the second people notice the camera the picture stops being true. I would rather hand you one frame nobody posed for than forty everybody did. Charlotte is home, and I will drive for the right one.

What I shoot.
Every booking covers the shoot, the edit and your gallery. Tell me what you have coming up and I will give you a straight number before you commit to anything.
Events
Parties, community functions, festivals, organization events. I cover the whole thing, not just the speeches, and you get the photos back while people still care about them.
Live music
Shows, sets, performances. Low light is the entire job, and most photographers flatten a room with flash to get around it. I would rather shoot the room the way it actually looked.
Sports
Youth leagues, rec games, tournaments, charity outings. Fast glass and a spot on the baseline. Every kid on the roster gets frames, not just whoever scored.
Portraits
Senior pictures, personal branding, or a set of good photos of yourself for once. We shoot on location, never in a studio, and if you hate being photographed I will keep you moving so you forget I am there.
Around the city
Charlotte itself. Venues, signage, architecture, street work. If you run something here, your website should not be showing people a stock photo of a city they have never been to.

We lock the location and the call time. I get there before you do, walk it, and figure out where the light is good. Then I work the whole thing and stay out of everybody's way.
You get your gallery
Edited photos delivered digitally, ready to print or post. You will know the turnaround before I ever pick up the camera, so you are not left wondering where your pictures went.
